My dad is the same way. My dog was raised as a therapy dog and he won’t leave my dad alone on football days 😭😭 my mom and I say it’s because my dog thinks my dad is having a serious mental breakdown 😭😂💀

I gotta say, I just spent my first Super Bowl with my mexican in laws, and they're 49ers fans (no one in my family ever really cared for the Super Bowl. Gramps had it on in the background for him and his son, but they mostly talked over it. Meanwhile, Grandma and I watched the puppy bowl in the other room, but I digress). My uncle in law was LOUD and SWEARING. Then, at the drop of a hat, speaking cute and soft to the young one chilling nearby. I've got no clue if it's a Hispanic thing, but that sudden switch up between passion and chill THROTTLED me.
