Ponce De Leon Springs

On the last day of our camping trip in Defuniak Springs we drove over to the nearby Ponce de Leon State Park to check out the springs there. Such a beautiful place to take a swim and have a bbq!
This is only one of the 1,000 natural clear water springs in Florida.

We live in Crestview and visit Ponce DeLeon springs fairly often. My favorite is to visit in the fall after school has started. If you go on a weekday you can have the place to yourself and see the fish swimming in the spring. Quiet bbq lunch and walk the trail.

We've been to blue springs. It is great. They have a high diving platform. You gotta go.

I heard you mention Vortex springs and Morrison springs. I did a lot of scuba diving at those places back in the 70's. Crystal clear water and so beautiful there! Terynia and myself just got home from Crestview Florida. Had a little YouTube hangout we were invited to.

Ponce de Leon Springs' water temperature remains a  constant 68.  Quite shocking LOL Wakulla Springs is my favorite, the riverboat ride on the untouched river.

This place and nearby Morrison Springs are absolutely insane during the summer months. Pretty much have to visit on a weekday before 10am if you want to avoid the crowds.

I was real confused for a minute but apparently there’s a Ponce de Leon springs state park and a De Leon springs state park in Florida.
