In love with my 2015 500 Pop. Always failed to leave me hanging since I picked it up earlier this year! Plus, there are versions of the 500 that can be had for much less than this model. Most certainly a kick-ass car. 👍

I have a 2013 500 Sport and it's been great. Only problems: it didn't come with a spare tire, so I installed their aftermarket item. And the wheel bearings in one wheel needed replacing. Otherwise it's been so much fun to drive. I can throw it into sport mode and blast into corners, or in normal mode I get 40mpg on the highway.

When Fiat come to our shores the first time, they didn't last long---quality was horrendous. Now they've been back for a few years, and although they are certainly better than those cars from the old days, they are still ranked rock-bottom in quality. I guess some things never change....

About to buy another one. And btw, the 1.4 is one of the greenest gasoline engines on the planet. I have a manual. I get 37 around town and 42 on the highway. Much better than window sticker numbers. How bout experiencing one before panning? I get so frustrated by people who have never actually sat in, driven, or have knowledge of a product. Fiat does lag behind in quality, but if you look at quality indicators over the last ten years, the margins are infinitesimal compared to twenty years ago. No one builds a "bad" car nowadays.

the people who are biased against Fiat because of the 1970's really have no credibility. I know 4 people who have modern 500's and none of them have had any problems. I will say the back seat is only for small children or a dog...adults do not fit well. If you don't normally carry more than one other person with you  then there is nothing wrong with the little Fiat.

1. Spend billions to re-introduce a brand to the US
2. Skimp on an actual competent dealer network that knows how to fix cars, reaffirming past biases about the cars being terrible
3. Skimp on facelifts and other updates that keep customers coming back
4. Skimp on advertising your cars on their actual practical merits such as space efficiency, a huge selling point in the US
5. Whine about your cars not selling

There you have it, the story of Fiat.

In America it's too expensive. Here in Italy it costs less than €15.000 and you can find good ones under €10.000 too. It's not a wise choice sell it as gold in USA, especially for its category

It's stylish and has a nice interior, but it's unreliable, gets poor MPG relative to its size and power, and comparatively expensive. Just not worth it.
