Handle With Care- Traveling Wilburys (Full Band Cover)
Показать описание
George Harrison wrote this song as a bonus track to his 1987 album 'Cloud Nine' (co-produced with Jeff Lynne). Warner Bros felt it was too good for an EP or B-side, so Jeff and George instead recorded it as a lead single with their new supergroup
And thus the Traveling Wilburys were born. Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff and George all perform on this track. George even brought out his old 1963 Rickenbacker 360/12 and Rocky Stratocaster that he had used with the Beatles!
Their drummer Jim Keltner wasn't available to record so they used the drum machine that was already on the demo. I'm playing real drums for my cover- because why not? Session drummer Ian Wallace did overdub tom-tom fills later on
I'm playing my 1999 Rickenbacker 360/12 12-string, just like George's. And my Custom Shop Fender Sonic Blue Stratocaster for the slide solos. There's a chorus pedal on the Rickenbacker as well- I'm using my Analogman Bi-Chorus
There were at least four acoustic guitars layered in the basic track- possibly even ten in total. 5 Wilburys x 2. A Gibson Dove, a Gibson J-200, a Martin 12-String and others. Thank you @JacobKMusics for this information. I'm using four of my 6 and 12 string acoustics to get this wall of sound
Jeff Lynne played bass and electric guitar, as well as synth, an extra snare drum and cowbell. Bob Dylan played harmonica
Thank you for watching and please be sure to subscribe!
