When you're building a house, a bridge, or some other impressive construction, some serious planning must be done, and every detail matters. The construction of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in Washington was finished 1940, a twin suspension bridge was unique and one-of-the-kind construction never seen before. In today’s equivalent, it cost about 1 billion bucks. Still, despite the amount of money spent, the bridge lasted slightly over 4 months. The engineers apparently missed one highly important issue - the wind.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa does cost extra money. They built supports underground to prevent the tower from falling further.

Not true about the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They did have to spend money to keep it from falling in 1990 for the first time and more since then. I am sure tourist revenue easily paid for it but they did have to fix it.

That bridge story reminds me of the modern day of Corpus Christi bridge 😂 that was projected to complete by 2021 and has delayed construction and cost is unreal for a small town like corpus
