The Notre Dame Fighting Irish completely dismantled the USC Trojan's offense over the weekend, resulting in the first blowout loss of Caleb Williams career at USC. Damonza asks Nick Wright to compare Williams to preseason standout Victor Wembanyama, who's proving to be as advertised for the San Antonio Spurs. Nick tells everyone to pump the breaks on the Caleb doubt, and answers if, despite the loss, he's a more promising prospect for the NFL than Wemby is for the NBA.

In 34 games. In a better conference.
By that logic, why wasn’t he considered one of the top 5 valuable football players on the planet when he was drafted? 12 players were drafted ahead of him.

Tim Tebow’s college stats:

88 TD’s
16 INT’s

In the best conference in college football.

My point is it’s very difficult to determine whether college play translates to the pros. Maybe a little intellectual humility?

I love how the framing of these questions are so convenient for a Nick. As if he hasn't been as hyperbole about Caleb Williams *1st year*, where currently he'd be behind only 2 QBs. But it's wrong 2 think Wemby is elite year 3*. And only Woj has said by year 3 he'd be the best. Caleb is just as overhyped on a position that depends on Coaching to reach max potential

That between the legs move last night by victor was pretty special. 7'3 or 4 with handles, nice passing skills, great on defense. His ceiling is sky high. Williams is a solid dude. Nicer arm then purdy, better runner, iq not sure about, decision making, not sure about. Time will tell. College stars and their stats don't always translate in the pros. I see it all the time in hockey. I think cj stroud will have the better career. In the end i'm definitely picking wemby lol

Carson Beck is better than Caleb, gtfoh
