Poilievre accuses Trudeau of 'obscuring' questions about China's alleged election interference

Speaking during question period in the House of Commons on Tuesday, Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre accused Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of dodging and “obscuring” questions about Chinese interference allegations in the 2019 election.

“The Prime Minister has used words to obscure the answer. He said there was not interference in a ‘significant’ way that would change the outcome. But was there any interference of any kind?” Poilievre grilled.

Trudeau responded by saying that intelligence agencies have highlighted the ongoing interference by foreign powers, through the forms of cyber interference or media influence. However, Trudeau said that the “integrity” of the election was not compromised.

Trudeau added that he could “confirm” that he never received “any information” from security agencies or intelligence officials about federal candidates receiving money from Beijing.

I love the way Mr. Poilievre slows down the question and speaks at a grade 3 level so that JT can understand the question.
