Only took 18 months to get Disney+ on VIDAA here in South Africa.. Could access it via the Browser at least, but only 720p 😢. Hope MAX does not take forever as well..

I'm interested in a Hisense tv and found out it has their own OS. I now have a Samsung 75" with Tizen. My problem is i hardly get any updates at all. Most never. Some apps I want are never made so now I have to use a Chinese media box. This make me aware of buying a Hisense. Are apps updated at all?

At what resolution is Amazon Prime Video displayed with the Vidaa client?

With the one that comes inside the 40A4N model I can't get it to go beyond HD.

If I connect the Amazon Fire Stick externally it's the only way I can get it to show HD 1080 resolution.

I’m very depressed by the limits of the VIDAA system. The tv is great for the price, but the os is very limited. I was using Amazon fire stick before. Now I can’t run SPOTIFY or SURF SHARK! And the browser sucks. SO… I have to continue using the fire stick through a hdmi port. Ridiculous!

In 2024, the VIDAA operating system on Hisense TVs is very bad. I bought the Hisense 85U7K in Dubai, UAE, recently. The OS is very buggy, and none of the applications other than YouTube and Netflix work. I encountered a flickering issue where Netflix was running behind YouTube with no option to exit. We had to shut down the TV completely and unplug it from the power source to use it again. This problem kept recurring. The Plex application on the TV can't even properly stream a 1080p file from my local media server connected via LAN. Don't go for it just to save a few hundred dollars.

At the moment it seams that we could save hundreds of euros if try to import US models even after paying taxes, duty and shipping.
This year Hisense 7 series lineup is even more confusing with now 4 different models with all those combination of letters arround number 7.
And we can see this crapy VIDAA OS is full of useless apps, almost same as Saphi from Philips. OK, there is few more apps compare to Saphi but in general not even close to Android or Google TV OS that Hisense offer on US models.
