Sir, impulse function has infinite amplitude at t=0. It is practically impossible to generate system that gives infinite amplitude.. so, Some standard signals like gaussian, rectangular pulse, triangular.. are approximated as impulse signal for which the area is 1. So, the area of impulse is one and amplitude is infinite.

Unit step signal in thumb nail wrong. It is actually discontinuous at t=0 not 1.

Definition of unit step and unit impulse function are wrong...at t=0 unit step is not defined.. and the value of delta function at t=0 is not one.
