For me, Pain Arc is the greatest arc in Naruto as the whole show. Sure, the Fourth Great Ninja War is cool with Madara, Obito and others' stories but to me, if Shippuden ends after the Pain Arc, I would be satisfy, that's just how amazing it is.

People never tall about it but this scene was so intense. We had NEVER seen Naruto get this bad, and transform this far. Before Kurama became a good guy, it really felt like this battle could take an even darker turn, with The Ninetaile being released, and Naruto finally giving into the fox, destroying everything in blind fury, like the so called monster they called him. It felt very sad, like he'd finally been pushed over the edge after losing so many people. In that moment, I genuinely had no idea what was going to happen. It was riveting.

When Kurama bust out nearly fully formed and sent flaming rocks falling like a meteor shower as the OST crescendoed, that was chillingly beautiful

I still remember everything that happened to lead Naruto to this point.

He lost his home.

Friends, he cherished so much, died in battle.

He failed to defeat Pain and got pinned.

And the cherry on top: watched the girl that confessed her love to him get butchered in front of his eyes.

It's a miracle he hadn't developed PTSD at that point...

When naruto is inside his conscience with kurama being suspended to remove the seal, his face is overcome with shadow and his eyes are red, emotionless and out of options he actually reaches out to try to break the seal to give into the fox. It’s like minato knew one day he would be tempted to the point of no return, where only the love of his father could save him. Powerful scene, by far my favorite anime!

Watching the flaming rocks beautifully pour from the skies over the horizon with the ost in the background is one of the best parts about this scene.
