Can't really imagine anyone thinking "Should I shell out another $15, 000 for the BMW?" - I think these two cars are really in totally different niches. Also, no comparison on pricing - the conclusion was the M2 was "a little bit better" - but you don't say if it was $15, 000 worth better? It doesn't appear that it was to me? Value is important. Also, - the Focus RS has always been European, Ford is a multi-national company that just happened to originally come from America.

Yeah but what their not saying that overall the BMW is more expensive to own and cargo and versatility wise the BMW M2 is a hit and miss. When it's time to replace parts and repair off warranty the Ford is way cheaper to fix than the BMW. Sorry I've owned both brands. I know.

I don't understand why they mention top speed as if it's some kind of important metric when they are both electronically limited. Seems completely pointless. Like seriously, who the hell drives much above 120mph anyways.

The Focus RS is assembled in Saarlouis, Germany, which is in Europe last I checked.

That was a twisted comparison. Manual is slow if the driver can't shift. I noticed that was edited. And so the focus isn't a drift car. Maybe they should both run around a wet track?

Although I prefer an M2 with its looks and sounds - in the real world of roads, driving is not about drifting ability which is what all these car experts have been judging performance cars by lately and putting whatever drifts best on a pedestal! ("Oh it drifts wooo hooo I've wet myself!!" please do me a favour!).

Don't knock the Focus off, under the wet and dull roads of Great Britain its 4WD will leave the M2 lagging behind..

I wouldn't consider the rs an American car. I appreciate ford is an American company but the focus rs has been available in Europe for 14 years.

Silly woman! European cars are generally head and shoulders above American cars. American cars have advanced hugely in recent years but they still lag behind currently.
