Great video! Enjoyed the additional background and the CX lineup. I own one of these as well as the 650Turbo version that came out the following year, absolute joy to ride these around. I love the CX platform in general, I'm building a rear engined recumbent powered by one.

Hi Rick. (sorry if you know this) Over here in the U.K. in the 80`s the CX 500`s were very popular with dispatch riders, especially in London. They got the nick name of plastic maggots, can`t explain why. Not coveted in there day here as they were seen as work bikes, but now getting repurposed after a bit of work as cheap café racers. I enjoy your channel, good luck with it...

Fuel injection started to appear on the BMW K100 and K75 ( early 1980's) and some Kawasaki models.
