The whole step limitation exercises was very handy, useful. Really makes you think & have to draw on creativity, good stuff, nice lines! Staying in lane, , .

Only caught the last part of your livestream. You guys are great teachers, and Reuben is hilarious! I was serious about what I said at the end, you two should host another listening session (like Peter and Adam) but make it BASS centric. That would be awesome. I'd listen to a livestream listening sesh with you two talking all about that BASS and I'm a lowly guitarist. Can I make a suggestion for the first album? Can you do one of those Paul Chamber's led sessions--like Bass On Top? I still want suggestions on bass solo's to transcribe--that time feel MAN. That time feel that only a BASSIST could laydown, you know what I am saying?!?

Not sure if you got my beginner-ish comments: I realize that the bass should make the band sound good, but I've always loved JUST listening to bass lines on upright! But the audience is limited. The bass is such a body-touch instrument, such a FUN THING FOR THE PLAYER, that listening to the higher stuff is a bit hard, when you are so into your SOUND, even though everyone except the band ignores you. I loved listening to just one side of those old Jamey Aebersold records that I dubbed to cassette (35 yrs ago) on the way to work! I recently discovered the UKE BASS, with rubber strings and a VERY short scale, but as bass players, the BASSIST should ASSIST. Sorry, this is my first comment here.

Hey, I love this content, thank you so much! Kindly info from me: Rufus Reid mentioned this walking practice on a single string as his favourite exercise. Regarding walking with the bow, check out that jazz bow guy on discover double bass, he makes it sound great.

How long did it take you to be able to immediately play what you hear in your head when walking? Is that a special gift for some? I've been playing about 3 yrs and still think about the patterns of the modal scales and where those notes and chord tones are located. I know where the notes are that will sound right when I play. I can also hum interesting walking lines but need a few minutes to figure out how to play or transcribe what I was humming.

Please!? Do NOT start chewing nuts when you're recording a video session and especially NOT next to the microphone. Please... Thank you
