Neighbors living next to a Twin Cities homeless encampment are sharing their concerns. That camp is just steps from busy Lake Street in south Minneapolis. Many of the neighbors told us they live in fear every day. As WCCO's Reg Chapman reports, they're asking the city for help.

How many times do we hear this same story? So the police will come, activists will highlight the need for help from homeless, demonstrations, the city will eventually clean it up, but we'll hear the same story from another location in a couple of months

This is why people and businesses are folding up and leaving is because of this stuff. Minneapolis has turned into a 3rd world toilet.

The only problem is rent is too darn expensive.
“Campers” are mostly peaceful.

Look to the right just after 52 when traveling 94E, or when exiting 52 onto 94W.
The beginnings of a huge camp…

Same old story, police will move it, activists "demanding" help for the homeless, we'll see the same story in a different location in a couple of months.

It’s fine, just get use to it! These People need our help. Sarcasm.

But but, Mayor Frey is working 24 hours non-stop to solve the problem. He's looking for a new space in St. Paul. Yes, I'm being sarcastic.

The homelessness is everywhere the rental prices are ridiculous and same with the prices of everything it costs how much for just a place to sleep at night.

Ah yes. Clearly, having to LOOK at homeless people is more dangerous than BEING homeless. How inconsiderate of these homeless people.

Chin up folks. We have tons of them here in the east end district of the city of superior Wisconsin as well. They've been living in the woods that run alongside the tri county corridor from the ore docks to highway 13. They light fires during the nights to keep warm. I was approached by four of them over this past winter as I was on my nightly run to poplar Wisconsin.

I assure everybody that this is perfectly normal - nothing to see here, the machetes they are carrying while coming out of the woods are strictly for their protection " they are not bad folks... folks " I strongly suggest everybody and anybody willingly give up your second amendment weapons systems and continue voting blue no matter who.

And the continuing game of "wack-a-mole" will continue.
Live in a misguided "Liberal" city manged by a clown show...Deal with the consequences.

Wait, but they voted for it. So why are they complaining now that they got what they wanted???

The residents feel unsafe? How unsafe do you think the houseless people feel?? We always center homeowners needs over those who are houseless.
