In this guitar lesson video series you will learn how to play the Guns N’ Roses classic “Mr. Brownstone” note-for-note.

We will do this within two separate video lessons. The first lesson will cover all the chords, riffs and rhythm guitar parts. There are also some really cool guitar fills to learn within these riffs.

In the second video lesson, I will show you step-by-step how to play Slash’s killer guitar solo for “Mr. Brownstone”. There a lots of cool guitar licks in this solo. It is classic Slash through and through!

I know it's not one of the more "famous" or requested Appetite recordings, but I would love to see a guitar lesson on "Think About You". From what I can hear it's a difficult one in terms of how many guitar layers there are and different riffs and overdubs etc, it would be cool to see how you would lay it out to be played just on the one guitar as a solo guitarist. And also when Slash starts playing the clean part, it just does it for me, one of my personal favourites indeed.

I appreciate your video showing how to do this. I always have difficulty with songs that have 2 guitars or have been stacked. I didn't realize I had been playing parts of this wrong during gigs for years now lol.

Thanks you . This is so much more than learning a song. It's more a lesson of several key techniques to learning riffs . The only thing I can add is that I vocalize the riff, and then add in what you just shown. Ties the timing and Rhythm together. Peace

A suggested correction- at 2:53 when you say he ends the riff with power chords, you show the second chord as a C#, bit I think what he really does there is play the D for the first chord, then for the second chord keeps his finger still on the A note (4th string 7th fret), and moves only his first finger down one fret to the C# (5th string 4th fret), creating an A chord (C#/A) rather then a C# chord (C#/G#).
