Welcome to Assassin's Creed III's Tyranny of King Washington -- a 3-part DLC series exploring an alternate reality in which George Washington goes mad with unlimited power, foregoing Presidency to rule as tyrannical King. In this alternate world, Connor is and remains Ratonhnhaké:ton. Having never become an Assassin, he must endure new trials, acquiring the skills he'll need to take down a possessed Washington and win freedom for his land once and for all. Check out the VGA Reveal Trailer to relive history as it never happened and ignite a new revolution!

ABOUT ASSASSIN’S CREED III:
The year is 1775. The American colonies are about to revolt. You are Connor, an assassin who has sworn to secure liberty for his people and his nation. To do so, you will hunt your enemies across a staggeringly large, open, and realistic world. You will unleash your lethal skills in a violent quest that will take you from chaotic city streets to blood-soaked battlefields in the hostile American wilderness and beyond. You will meet legendary heroes of American history, and together you will conspire to annihilate those who threaten Liberty itself.

Whether you use your predatory instincts to kill silently, or your fearsome arsenal to kill openly, one thing is clear: the world that the Assassin’s live in has become far more deadly. And so have you.

KEY FEATURES

CONNER, A NEW ASSASSIN
You are Connor, a warrior son of a Native American mother and British father. As a bloody revolution draws ever nearer, your clan is threatened by a powerful group seeking to crush the American revolution and control the thirteen colonies.

Shocked into action by the devastation of your village, you pledge your life to the cause of freedom, and embark on a decades-long quest to achieve it.

THE SETTING
There’s the American Revolution you know from history books. And then there’s the revolution you’ll be fighting, set in a world that’s far more realistic, gritty, and alive than any history book could be.

NAVAL WARFARE
In Assassin’s Creed III Connor will battle his enemies not only on land, but also on the high seas aboard his stalwart vessel, the Aquila.

You’ll navigate tumultuous waters and command your own naval warship, sending enemies to their watery graves with cannons and an array of powerful naval weaponry. Or should you choose, ready a boarding party and take the fight to the enemy by battling hand-to-hand on the deck of their own ship.

ANVIL NEXT
Experience the jaw-dropping power of Anvil Next, the all-new engine designed exclusively for Assassin’s Creed III.

The team spent three years building this revolutionary system from the ground up, and the results are nothing short of breathtaking.

It begins with stunning breakthroughs in motion-capture, animation, and AI technology, which deliver more realistic character animations and interactions than ever before. It continues with dynamic weather, seasons and time, which significantly affect the world around you. And no all-new engine would be complete without a dramatically expanded combat and stealth system.

well assassins don't necessarily wear white, in Assassin Creed 1, Altair wore white as it help him blend in with the monks, also because its hot in the Middle East and the white helps reflect heat and sunlight. Ezio also wears white, but that helps him blend in with the white buildings, also he wore other clothes as well such as black, and gray and probably other clothes as well. Connors' outfit is a hooded white long-coat which helps blend in with the New England snow during winter.

1. Benedict Arnold IS in the game; it's DLC you get for pre-ordering it (if you didn't then you just buy it when it comes out).

2. The first words in this trailer are "What if."

King Washington's left hand is holding the Imperial Sceptre, one of the Staves of Eden. In 1908 it is mostly destroyed by Nikola Tesla with the firing of his wireless electric weapon (Tesla Coil), as a strike against the Templars. Only a shard was left.

I think that Assassin's Creed 3 blurred the line between Assassin and Templar pretty masterfully. Throughout the whole game I wondered if I was actually doing the right thing as Connor and as Desmond.

Wow, Conner's outfit in this looks amazing!

haha ikr? it says so right in the video description.

to further clarify, it means that Ratonhnhaké:ton never becomes Connor because Achilles is the one who gives him that name (because he can't pronounce Ratonhnhaké:ton). we don't know what happens to prevent him from meeting Achilles, but in whatever case, no Achilles = no Connor and no assassin training. i'm pretty sure anyone who actually played this game already knows this.

alternated realities are the 6th demension, the 5th is the space between time lines, check out 10deminions (some vid on youtube) to explain it

Taken directly from the AC wiki:
"Haytham slipped behind the commander and took the correspondence he had been reading. Haytham wondered aloud what the note contained, and read out to Connor that the commander had just ordered the burning of the Mohawk village and the salting of their lands; since many of the Kanien'keha:ka had been aiding the British. The Templar also brought up the burning of the village fourteen years previously, which Washington had also been responsible for."

Well, I think I meant that mainly Charles Lee just didn't and his men burnt down Connor's village for one. I mean, that there was more or less the sole event that led to Connor becoming an Assassin. And Heck, maybe the Templars had left America since Haytham and the other ones couldn't find what they were looking for during the first few sequences.

The fact that he doesn't get training from Achilles gets me curious on how it will affect Ratonhnhaké:ton's fighting style. Obviously without training, his moves will probably end up being a bit more unrefined. Will he have a whole different set of animations?

@Blair Dale *spoiler if you read on* after you finish the game, someone hacks the animus so you can play as Connor again. Perhaps he found a way to alter the animus's abilities, or just created a simulation from the ground up just for fun

The Description "Connor is and remains Ratonhnhaké:ton. Having never become an Assassin"
Why do I have a feeling that Connor will end up being a Templar. I can see Father and Son now united (Assuming Haytham is Alive in this Alternate Reality)

We can assume as much, since there may be some key changes in history. Like for one, since Connor never became an Assassin, that would mean that Charles Lee and Haytham were either never at America, or were never involved. It was because of those two Templars that Connor became an Assassin, along with the death of his mother. So, without those key elements in Connor's history, there would have been no real motivation for him to seek vengeance. That may change whenever we see the DLC come out.

That's why they have this as DLC. Not to mention the disclaimer in the beginning of every AC is that the story is BASED on facts and people not that it is a retelling. Especially when they decide to have the main character a trained assassin scaling roof tops killing people in the search for a golden orb. At that point I think we should throw any semblance of historical accuracy out the window.

What they're trying (or should be trying) to say is they are related but not directly. Altair+Maria Thorpe didn't equal Ezio, they had sons and one went on to have children who continued the for as many generations as it took for their line to end up in Italy and be Giovanni who had Ezio who then had several children and so on all the way to Desmond.

I think he's referring to when Connor teams up with Haytham later on in the game.

I've always enjoyed alternate realities. It's always nice to have something that, while it is something we're familiar with in one way, it gives a different look and perspective and makes it badass in a completely new light.

Achilles gave Ratonhnhaké:ton the name Connor because the name "Ratonhnhaké:ton" would not allow him to buy the materials needed to repair the manor, "Connor Davenport" was Achilles son he died along with Achilles wife in a fire in new york

could be, in ac2 there was this puzzle where you saw george washington with a apple, but that doesn't instantly means he is a templar
