The Nicosia FIDE Women's Grand Prix is a 12-player round-robin taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus on May 16-27, 2023. It forms the fourth and final stage of the 2022-23 FIDE Women's Grand Prix, which will determine two places in the 2023 Candidates Tournament. 16 players compete in the series, each playing in three of the four events.
Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. The prize fund is 80,000 euros, with 15,000 euros and 160 Grand Prix points for the winner. No draw offers are allowed before move 30

Biography
Representing Poland, Oliwia Kiolbasa is an International Master since 2022. Her first major chess title was Woman FIDE Master in 2010 followed by Woman International Master in 2016.
She is currently ranked second in the Polish female national federation rating list – her first participation in a Women’s Grand Prix event comes as a result of the withdrawal of Poland’s number one female player, IM Alina

Biography
Gunay Mammadzada, of Azerbaijan, is an International Master since 2018, as well as a Woman Grandmaster since 2014, and a former under-10 girls' World Youth Champion.
Mammadzada has also won the Azerbaijani women's national championship on two occasions: 2017 and 2019.
She reached a peak FIDE rating of 2483 and has been ranked as high as #18 in the world among women, being currently #25 with 2449.
