In this video, I show how to adjust the height limiting mechanism on your electric rooftop winch. This model is a 2010 Palomino Yearling 4100. Your assembly may be different. Consult your owners manual for additional questions and troubleshooting.

The cord is supposed to be taught not loose. Looks like it needs to ho up more to me. You can not put the door in place if it is not up all the way. Ours looked like this with the loose cable and we had a camper repair shop fix it for us. I am glad to now know how to adjust it now.

Hi. There is a hex nut on top of the worm drive motor. You should have a hand crank that will fit that nut.
It might be covered in grease hard to see

Tim, hoping you get this message. I have to replace my winch toggle switch and ignorantly pulled it to take it in for a replacement before looking at the wiring pattern. That looks like the same 6 pole toggle switch I have on my coachmen clipper switch. Can you please take a look at your toggle switch and let me know how the cables from the winch are connected to the six poles?

I have a 2015 Forest River, Rockwood HW296 pop-up camper. When I raise the top it does not stay where I stop it. it tends to wind down a bit each time I stop so I have to keep bumping it and bumping it till it eventually stays were I need it. this could take several attempts meaning ten or more bumps. How do I adjust the break to make it stop right when I need it?
