Arduino based Digital Speedo proto

This is a stepper motor driven by an Arduino Uno working as a replacement for the stock analog speedo for my GTI. The program in the Arduino driving the stepper is presently using a random number for speed updates after the initial 0-max-0 cal sweep since I do not yet have the vehicle VSS hooked up or programmed into the Uno..

How the needle moves in slow? Is it smooth or jigged? In fast changes it is OK but the most challenging is slow motion.

I have another question for you? I have a USB Nano V 3.0. I would like to control too many servos with it. My goal is to make a speedometer and tachometer. Can you tell me the most simplest way I can hook up those 2 mini servos 2 the Nano board directly?
