No unfortunately I have more questions.
-did you remove the lawn from your yard?
-what is your USDA planting zone?
-do you allow the clover to flower?
-does the clover rot under snow?
-does the clover attract insects; namely mosquitoes and gnats?

If anyone plans on doing this do not rely in big box store clover which is generally an import variety.. you need to research what clover is indigenous to your area and use that..

At last, a video where someone knows how to take care of a clover lawn. Thank you for sharing.

Just read a National Geographic article with your name noted in it. Love the idea! Looking forward to seeing its durability over the years.

My first video was you house reno video, living room makeover, and clover lawn. I then watched 4 shorts. That's enough for me to subscribe. I think your home is so dreamy, eclectic, detailed, and upscale all rolled into one. The yard feels very European and I want that plant window ☺️ I would like to one day soon be able to buy a house and fix it up. I want a ranch style home, floor to ceiling windows, recessed lighting, gravel garden, and side yard.

Just planted some clover so thank you for showing what a mature clover yard looks like. Hope to have some bees and butterflys utilize the little flowers next year. Thank you for sharing!

Hey as a gardener, I’d suggest coating your clover seed with inoculant, so that the roots of your clover fix nitrogen into the soil. Your native climate may not have much of the bacteria present in order for the clover to actually improve the soil. Doing this will make your clover lawn self fertilize itself.

We've done a clover mix in our backyard under heavy tree cover for years. Easy care and doesn't need watering as long as you're not living in the desert.

Having the blend of clovers is important. Clover's natural growth pattern is to expand and leave a dead centre, so having a mix of varieties should help keep the lawn from developing bald patches

We naturally have a clover lawn. We moved to a new place, don't use any chemicals and let our kids run around bare foot. Eventually we got clover naturally. The only backside to this is it attracts a ton of bees and our older one was but multiple times one summer. So now she can't walk there barefoot. Other than that it's so low maintenance, and it looks good!

Thank you for this! I’ve been doing research for awhile and have recently stumbled upon your videos. My husband and I finally decided to go for it! We are doing this with our lawn next week in Michigan!

I've heard that clover was the preferred lawn cover before weed killers were discovered. Weed killers are byproducts that large chemical companies wanted to sell instead of dump. So they created ad campaigns promoting beautiful green grass as most desirable. Then of course fertilizer was also needed.

I love this look & maybe I would do my back yard this way. I live where water is sometimes too much so the grass there grows like an invasive weed---which I guess it is. But it's a big yard & I think I'd have to kill a LOT of grass to do that. Sigh.
I notice several people asking about your pavers---I love that look too. My dad wanted to put those in so he could have grass but be able to drive the RV over it, so he looked into those diamond pavers---expensive!! So he dug up the area, laid concrete cinder block with holes up, filled in with dirt & seeded. Unfortunately he used grass & the mowing was a pain, but clover would be perfect. Note that concrete may leach into soil, making it alkaline, don't know if that would help or hurt the clover.

Thanks for this. I was wondering about the type of clover in a comment of another video. And now the conversation started in the comments is also helpful. ☺

I think it’s a wonderful option, I have seeded some patchy-hard areas and I’m excited about seeing green in these areas. My yard is out in the country and where I’ve seeded is a kids play area.
