I was an atheist for 30+ years (after being raised a Christian). When I came back to Christianity, the hardest thing for me was letting go of my human-centric ego. Admitting that humans are not perfect, but God is. Admitting that God knows better how humans should live than they do. Admitting that humans will NEVER be able to rule themselves successfully - that only God can. Those were the hardest for me. Letting go of that ego was hard but ended up being the best thing I ever did. It is a relief that is hard to describe unless you’ve done it.

Matthew, if you ever read this, the point of the burning bush is showing God's power. He's showing a miracle to moses. Hes revealing himself to him in a supernatural way for a task. The fire on the bush never consumes the bush becauae its not any ordinary flame. Its Gods spirit which never ends. God bless you brother.

I am a Christian. Not because my parents were or I think I should be. Not because I am afraid of death or any other reason except that in my life, there are no other conclusions. But Im not a Christian, as some say they are. I have a daily relationship with the living God. As difficult as that may be for so many to understand. Some understand it completely because they also share a similar relationship. I have lived life and done things many men would hope for or dream about doing. Women, money, fame. All nothing. With Christ I am happy and satisfied. Complete. Overflowing with life and have peace beyond any possible understanding. Still have lifes problems but I do not face them alone anymore

Matthew “what you do with that” is you praise and honor God Almighty, you recognize that He is God and we are not, you praise Him with reverence for His sovereignty His mighty power and wonder, you recognize He is all powerful and in control, and humble yourself before Him. We recognize that we are totally dependent upon Him. That is what we do with that, the Bible is much more than a tool to go off on our own, the Bible is our guide to know Gods plan, to get to know the character of Jesus the son and God the father, and the Holy Spirit. The Bible helps us develop an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ as we get to know Him through His word. He created us to have a loving relationship with Him, and to share that with others that they might enjoy the same relationship. Jesus is the lover of our soul, a love like this ought never to be missed 🥰. There is none like it anywhere.

I was born and raised an atheist because it was the Soviet Union. But when I was around thirty years old and away from that horror, Bible was the first thing that represented freedom for me. I read it and reread it many times. If you don't understand something today it doesn't mean that it's wrong. Many people reject Math just because they don't understand it well, the same as Bible, it's exists regardless of your approval. and it is a huge thing. We can only know know and understand a small fraction of both of them

From a friend of Mathew that went to the same high school with him in Longview Texas, I will say that Mathew always thought and felt, as i do, in the spirituality of Jesus and the mystery of the life of Christ . We both feel deeply for the mission that Christ endured for all of us .

Science is nothing more than the revelation of what has already been created. We in essence create nothing, we actually don't discover anything in the strictest sense of the word, we merely reveal and manipulate all that God has already put in place. He has given us the great gift of exploring and revealing the truths He has put in place and then we are able to be excited and challenged and blessed with what we have learned.
