I got "A" fish; you were so happy after being on the struggle bus. You are 100% correct about Dick's fishing dept. closest one to me is a quarter the size it used to be 2 years ago. They have put in 3 isle of Yeti products; I am sure much better profits margins. Academy store brand would be good, but I think you might have done them.

Dicks used to be my go to for fishing stuff. It’s now dropped below academy. Especially with H20X being as great of a product as it is

I had one of those days today with a gamakatsu hook lol sometimes its just one of those day where they just dont get hooked good. It happens lol. Those little bluegill swimbaits have caught many fish in my boat. They do make a better one with a single top hook as well. All mine have had sharp hooks too 🤷‍♂️ maybe you just got a weird or bad one.

The only way I have found that jawbone craw crank works is to JIG it… pull up fairly hard, and it actually will sink. But yeah, they are weird. One would hope it works like the YoZuri craw. But… not even close

The best Dick's I've ever been in for fishing stuff is actually in Houston (Katy, actually). BUT... It's a combo Field and Stream / Dicks and the Field and Stream side is where all the fishing stuff is at.

Local Dick's by me got rid of guns and increased the fishing area almost doubled.
But i don't buy the jawbone stuff anymore. The cool thing is they will match Karl's online prices for me.

The Dick’s by my house has no hunting section. Says they have waders and stuff instock online, yet the staff can never help me find anything. I live by Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee river. Trout fishing is big here too, absolutely nothing for trout in the store. Huge missed opportunity, Walmart has better tackle and prices mostly.
