It was my hubby's birthday on Wednesday and so I treated him to lunch at this fairly new BLACK-OWNED fine dining restaurant.
It is called The Warwick located in Houston, Texas.
The interior is astonishing with touches of sexy and upscale, but it also included beautifully lit areas and just tasteful designs.
Let me tell you we had a time! It was so classy and subtly black. They have an amazing lunch deal, 2 for $25. This includes a choice of an appetizer and lunch entree from a limited menu.
We both tried the Korean fried cauliflower as the appetizer. It was fresh, hot, lightly battered and well-balanced in flavor profiles.
For entrees, I had the cajun pasta with a side of bread and Lance had 1/4 rack of ribs with fresh made chips.
We also are suckers for chargrilled oysters. There's did not disappoint. It even had collard greens in there which was such a unique touch.
Everything was so tasty and fresh. I was thoroughly impressed with how flavorful everything was without being overly salty. I am overjoyed at how this restaurant compares to other fine dining restaurants but stands out on its own.
After our meal, the bartender was kind enough to bring out a complimentary birthday cake with a sparkler which was a complete surprise, but well appreciated.
We will definitely be back for dinner, but if you are ever in Houston and want to support a local business worth every penny, please come here. You will not regret it.
