CLARINET TIPS: 2 ways to play B flat

I’ve always done the register key one because it works better when playing quickly, but the trill key fingering for Bb makes a much better sound.

You guys def should learn alternative keys, it helps a lot when switching notes ok music especially if it feels awkward to press a key

Does the first solve the issue of the terrible sounding middle notes? Wouls be great! B flat is fun bc it's not much fingers but it sounds so dull compared to the clarion register

My band director taught us to either use the A key and the register key but we also had to play a normal A with all our fingers down so it was easier to go to a B natural when we were doing scales.

The first one only works if your Bridge Keys is aligned and in tune which might be a problem for some people when they're supposed to be flat and need to adjust thier clarinet to thier hands

As a percussionist, we can play b flat in an infinite amount of ways

You could use resonnance fingerings to make it sound fuller and more in tune
