In this video, we're exploring the trolleybus system in Arnhem, the last trolleybus system in the Netherlands. Trolleybuses in Arnhem ("Arnhemse trolleybussen") have been in operation since 1949 and is a fascinating example of Dutch public transport. There are 40 Swiss-made trolleybuses (Hess SwissTrolley 3 (BGT-N2C) and Hess SwissTrolley 4 (BGT-B1D)) that operate on 6 lines. System is maintained by Breng ("brengtrolley"). In this video, we see the trolleybuses in Arnhem on a hot summer day: starting from the Arnhem Central Station ("Arnhem Centraal"), we walk along the Nelson Mandelabrug, ride trolleybuses in Arnhem Malburgen district and walk back across the John Frost Bridge.
