There is quite a lot of French in the US as well, especially around the gulf coast where I just spend 15 years. Until recently it was common for elementary schools to be dual language french/english. France actually owned that part of the US for quite some time, and the ports brought in people from other french speaking countries so it's a conglomeration of language and influence. Creole french is actually different than regular french, to the point that some native speakers cannot understand one or the other. Cajun french is a combination of both mixed with a good chunk of it's own unique words. When I first moved there I couldn't understand half the people I met lol. I can't imagine trying to learn Welsh as a second language, it's beautiful to me to hear but sooo complicated. I watched a video a few years ago about the roots of UK slang from different areas and it was quite interesting.. some terms are so convoluted you would never guess the actual source, it's like a shortened form of a slang term for a slang term for something else in the end. That is the sort of thing that happens in a country so old though, the US is still quite young in the scheme of things. Our young people have developed their own language to a point..with an entire vocabulary influenced by text abbreviations that have become part of speech. I utilize Urban Dictionary on a regular basis to try to stay up to date.

Very pretty! 💗I haven't tried adding glitter. I have glitter glue and will have to do a test run.

Lovely, Rachel. That is a great idea to use cotton buds to apply glitter. I have tried putting that glitter glue stuff (I can't find Stickles brand in Australia) with a brush but it looked dreadful, so I didn't use it again. But having watched you, I will have another shot at it. Less is better!😊
