1 pack pollock salted fish
2 medium size potatoes
5 cloves garlic
bell peppers & small piece of hot pepper
1/4 cup thyme
1/2cup cilantro
2 stalks green onions
half of a small onion
1/2 tsp old bay seasoning
1/2 tsp complete seasoning
1/2 tsp chicken bouillon
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup bread crumbs

I made your saltfish cakes today and they came out exceptionally good, I put extra wiri wiri pepper and this made the fish cakes even better.

Looks delicious. Your process is easy to follow. I make mine the same way and it's so delicious...baked bread last night and made pepperpot but now I'll make salt fish cakes for breakfast...lol...have a great and continue to inspire people with your easy to follow cooking steps.

It´s interesting that you, guyanese people, have a snack so similar to the ancient tradition of Portuguese gastronomy, which is Codfish Snacks ( pasteis de bacalhau). Portuguese people love SALTED COD FISH. Before we eat the fish we soak it in water 24-72 h depending on it´s thickness. There are a 1000 recepies with salted cod fish in Portugal. Your snack must be delicious. Only small diferences between us. We cook the fish and the potatos. Just use fresh onion and parsley. salt, pepper and nutmeg. We dont add flour over the cookies. We mold them with 2 table spoons. Very nice your cooking. Kisses.

Your voice sounds just like one of my cuz. Bringing dhal and rice, coming for my fish cake, lol, looks mouth watering. Never tried it with dhal puri.

I gotta try this style...and I have to try the microwave potato.I also love fish cake with dhall puri.When I was in Guyana I would go by Strand Cinema and wait for the puri man with the cart to come with puri and fish cake and puri and shark with a nice fresh juice.Nothing could be better.

Hi Miss Candy, Good morning enjoy your fish cakes, will be surprising my husband and son in the morning. I wanted to let you know that I tried your fried rice it came out amazing 😻, but your fry chicken followed your recipe the only mistake I made I used olive oil and it came out so hard, my son was so disappointed ☹️ but will try again with Wesson oil.Olive oil was the only oil I had at the time, but I ❤️ everything you cook 👩‍🍳 Thanks for sharing your God given talent you’re an amazing 👩‍🍳.🙏❤️😇
