Stephen - Sincerely (Official Audio)

From my debut album “Sincerely.”
Written, performed, produced, mixed, and mastered by Stephen.

My album is a story of triumph, of letting go of all the uncertainty in my head and learning to walk the path of my own heart. “Sincerely” is about realizing how much better this world would be if we all loved ourselves, if we weren’t afraid of being vulnerable and honest. It doesn’t matter who’s president or what technology we invent or what extremists we destroy, the only thing I know is this:

There will never be peace if we do not all love ourselves.

Lyrics:
I’m callin’ this the love crusade,
The truth is like a black bouquet,
Money’s got us all enslaved,
The bullets and the bombs we make, Oh no,
It doesn’t have to be this way,
But I promise it’ll stay this way,
If you would rather hear me say,
That everything is all ok,

I don’t care for your drugs, I don’t care for your fame,
Do you care for the truth if you’re not entertained?
I can see through your eyes, I can see through your pain,
And you’re scared to admit you feel out of place,

Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

I’m tellin’ you the world looks perfect from a plane,
A couple miles up and we all look the same,
One love tryna show us the way,
One love that is tryin’ to change,
And if we connect with that, then we should be enraged,
These fat cats want us lost in the maze,
And they’re scared ‘cause we’re breakin’ the chain,
They’re scared ‘cause we’re ‘bout to escape,

Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

There’s a billion people,
That could use a hero,
Come together, we’re the tether,
Of this love that’s spinnin’ round,
We could be that miracle,

Can you hear that darlin’,
A revolution’s callin’,
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us,
Can you feel that darlin’,
The monsters marchin,
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love,
Sincerely,

My life used to be as Solid as Stone... Fortune fell, and I was caught in the Crossfire.. They told me to Line it up and Start a fire. I refused, I started Remembering myself, my life, my family, I remembered Mr. Man and his family and his words. I Sincerely cried and flew down before getting hit by the bullet train.

I remember when my friend introduced me to Stephen. He showed me Fly Down, and Crossfire. We spent hours just talking about him and his music and how his lyrics meant so much. Those were actually our last moments.. He killed himself a week after. I will forever take your songs to heart Stephen, because of my long lost friend. I wish I could show him your song. 😔

If Stephen can release a song while on tour, then I can get a text back.

Stephen's album is like that one quote from Regular Show that I saw once. "You can't touch music, but music can touch you." Stephen uses his music to teach us, to preach to us, to make us see differently. Sure, some songs may not seem so (Line It Up, I'm lookin at you, ), but they still have a message they get across. With Start A Fire, it might be direct, but studying the lyrics of other songs of the album reveal so many messages, wether focused on society, or devotion and resilience, or compassion for others.

Stephen does not create music, solely for the purpose of entertainment.

Stephen preaches through his music, trying to convey inner meaning and understanding of others, touching not only one, but all. His music can connect to everyone, wether alive or dead, friends or enemies, hated or loved.

Stephen unifies us through music.

And for this, and your effort, Stephen, I thank you.

LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS

I'm calling this the love crusade,
The truth is like a black bouquet.
Money's got us all enslaved,
The bullets and the bombs we make.

Oh, no.

It doesn't have to be this way,
But I promise it'll stay this way.
If you would rather hear me say,
That everything is all okay.

I don't care for your drugs,
I don't care for your fame.
Do you care for the truth,
If you're not entertained?

I can see through your eyes,
I can see through your pain.
And you're scared to admit,
You feel out of place.

Can you hear that darlin’?
A revolution’s callin’.
No child of ours should have to starve,
Should have to die for us.

Can you feel that darlin’?
The monsters marchin'.
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love.

Sincerely,

I’m tellin’ you the world looks perfect from a plane,
A couple miles up and we all look the same.
One love tryna show us the way,
One love that is tryin’ to change.

And if we connect with that, then we should be enraged,

And they’re scared ‘cause we’re breakin’ the chain,
They’re scared ‘cause we’re ‘bout to escape.

Should have to die for us.

Can you feel that darlin’?
The monsters marchin'.
This is it, this invitation is,
For the ones who love.

Sincerely,

There’s a billion people,
('Ey, 'Ey, Oh.)
That could use a hero.
('Ey, 'Ey, Oh.)

Come together,
We’re the tether,
Of this love that’s spinnin’ round.
We could be that miracle.

Wow, again a song with a real message. THIS type of music(lyrics-wise) should be in the charts, not that meaningless crap(even if it sounds good). Awesome song btw

Why do you make songs that ALWAYS sound like something I've never ever heard like. Ive been listening to EDM/Chill/House etc.. for more that 4 years and still, every song you make is new and perfect sound to my ears. So much respect and love for you brother. God bless.

How this not in the charts? Powerful and meaningful but rihanna mumbling and slurring for 5minutes is considered a song -.-

Holy shit, he's back

This might be Stephen's best song to date. It's not just in the sound (which is amazing by the way, it's such a great mix of the styles of Remembering Myself and Fly Down, and Stephen's low-octave singing has some serious EDEN vibe to it) but the lyrical message is where money's at. I thought Crossfire was a one-off response to the Paris attacks and rising violence around the globe with ISIS, etc. but this one's an even more far-reaching "call to arms" going beyond just street violence and handling the themes of poverty, inequality, world hunger and corporations, and it does it without sounding cliche. I think that Stephen is one of the most important artists in this generation of electronic music, because his sound is so influential with the blend of rock and future bass, his lyrics are mature, smartly written, and a shining example of the levels of sophistication EDM songwriting can reach, and he takes on some very contemporary issues and shines a potent spotlight on their consequences. He opens listeners' eyes and ears to the raw and uncompromising purity of the matters at hand and they become more than just "statistics". They make me want to take whatever action I can to help, big or small. Thank you for releasing this, Stephen, and thanks to Sheepy and Proximity for uploading it because now it'll receive the popularity it so undeniably deserves.

This is really great. The first time I heard a song by Stephen was back in 2014 and recently I found his song ''crossfire'' on soundcloud and I'm so grateful to have found him again tbh. Your music inspires me very much
