The Kybalion, William Walker Atkinson and New Thought

New Thought teacher Mark Gilbert encourages all metaphysical students to read or re-read this important book from 1908 written by early New Thought author, William Walker Atkinson. In this video, Mark outlines: why you should read it, the background on the book, who Atkinson was, what Hermetic teachings were....and then briefly outlines the "7 principles" from the book. This was the informaton i was looking for about the book seemingly refering to itself.



Mythology which is mant to be fiction can have more truth and history than anything else once you become initiated.

Manly Hall distills this perfectly in his famous book "The Secret Teachings of all Ages"

In a sense mythological history is able to paint a better picture that his-story which was written by the victors.

The Kybalion is an amazing little book. There is no fluff in this book. It gets straight to the point. It clarifies and simplifies New Thought concepts nicely.

Fifty years ago I purchased a group of twelve books by W.W. Atkinson and Edward E. Bealls called the "Personal Power" series published by Robert Collier. Anybody familiar with this and the work of Robert Collier?

Luckily, I read the Kybalion before I had read, or had been exposed to anything else on the subject. I assumed it was authentic. It made perfect sense to me. Now I know it is fiction, it still makes perfect sense to me, and I actually hope that this is how the Universe is. Maybe I will find out when I pass on to the next plane of existence.

Hi I'm hoping you may be able to help me with What I believe to be a contradiction between the two books he wrote. the Kybolion and The Arcane teachings. In the Kybolion he attributes the Absolute and the Infinite to be one and the same, and then in the Arcane Teachings he clearly states that the All could never be the Infinite for all the reasons stated in the book. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
