How Chefs In The NBA Bubble Make 4,000 Meals A Week | Big Business

Alexia Grant, aka Chef Lex, was one of 10 chefs invited to cook for players inside the NBA bubble. From her kitchen at Disney World, she launched the pop-up restaurant Comfort Kitchen, specializing in Caribbean and Southern comfort food. Since, she's cooked for players from every team in the bubble, including the Miami Heat, the LA Lakers, and the Denver Nuggets. But cooking under strict quarantine isn't easy. She can't leave the bubble to do her own shopping and has to rely on runners to deliver her food to the players in the inner bubble.

I once worked in catering, and we had an event for one night feeding around 1k customers for a three course meal. It took about 25 staff including myself to prep, cook and deliver the food to the location, and it was exhausting. I can only imagine the resilience and dedication of Chef Lex and Chef Joy to do this with only two pairs of hands. Truly an inspiration and this video doesn't fully capture the mental and physical demand for what they have to do. These two got my upmost respect.
