Hi Everyone,

This week we load the family mold that we updated last time on the molding machine and use the orange robot to pluck parts.
Enjoy!

I am a big believer in the use of robots in industrial processes. Thanks for sharing this application and how to rationalize between the perfect and the good.

Wonderful printing machine.
Congratulations to the makers

Ever since my dad explained to me that the air filter/engine cover thing has been molded and that this has been one form which probably cost about as much as our house, I have been fascinated with injection molding.

Because you also do robotics (which I also really like), this is the real sweet spot between all the things I think are cool: injection molding, robots, machining, and a bit of random content (the personal touch a channel needs IMO), and I'm looking forward to your videos every week.

Thank you for taking us along for the ride. Injection molding is so cool.

Served my toolmaking Apprenticeship making injection mould tools and microswitch tooling....30 year ago glad to see absolutely nothing has changed applications engineer for Pama now Day 1 lesson 1 never deburr an ejector pin 1st thing I was told....

Great to see installation of a tool and Start up, with interface to a robot, certainly easy to change parameters for moulding, like the "BOY" analogue UI display.
Great vlog thanks for sharing.
Best regards from the UK.

Great video, really enjoying the content your creating and about to start putting my own little plastic parts. Very new to all of this.

The "intermission" was a nice touch

I know nothing about this kind of thing but I really like watching your videos, thanks for putting them up for us to watch. Maybe throw a PayPal link or BTC address into the description for the bad people like me that use ad blockers. I'm happy to donate some cash directly to the people I really enjoy watching. All the best and thanks for the great videos.

Looks like you could use mold specific tie bar platforms.
We also use water cooled mud systems. I think the idea could be used to make a cooling/temperature controlled plate.

Maybe the gripper could grab the part first and then send a singnal to the ejector pins, I don't know if that could be possible or if it would cause a problem. Great videos, thank you very much!

maybe the robot end effector is the right place for 3D printing, you could iterate probably one shape change every 2-3h, pick up the slack by hand in the mean time, end up with very peculiar shapes in the end, and order your print online from nylon when you're satisfied with your shape.

very cool watching process automation in action!. sitting here thinking about how hard adding a rotation to the clipper would be to get the third disc trimmed (and provide future capability to trim more sides, I do hear the 80% rule playing out here though, low hanging fruit is always the tastiest :-)

Rotate your gripper at the point you grab the part so that you can clip all three.

The cycle time of the M-machine is to schort for the robot to finish its work, i guess it is to complicated to change that, because if you change only one parameter of the moldingprocess
the product failed.
I have got a question, is there no problem with the lubrication in the planatery gear of the green robot if you fix it horizontal like you do?

Hello, I have a comment and question. Firstly, I know nothing about injection molding. It seems there is a lot of set up just to get the production process going. I notice you are doing a lot of test runs and adjustments. My question is...once you dial this all in and obtain a satisfactory product, do you still have to go through all of the dial in procedures when you produce each day?

I like robots but in my opinion a injection molding tool with tunnel cut makes much more sense than the robot action.

Sprue and parts are separated automatically by opening the mold. Parts falling down in the Maschine and you can pick up only the sprue.
This is a default technic all over the world.
