How to run site using Https on IIS(Install SSL certificate for website)

This videos guides through the steps required to install SSL certificate for a .net website on IIS. A user can also try to run site using https url on local machine as well by installing self signed SSL certificate.

I'm adding a domain certificate but it is taking only on IP but I'm not able to add the hostname can anyone suggest how I can run in a hostname URL instead of IP

Wrong guidelines. It says Certificate Error. there should not be any error if certificate is installed properly.

If everything was fine, it was not supposed to have any certificate warning in the browser. Moreover, if the site is hosted using a public IP, it'll not work from the outside world, it'll give the certificate error. The problem of having cheap internet nowadays is, the cheaper it gets, the cheaper content like this people tend to produce.
