Introducing the Siskiu D5 - Polygon's newest addition to the very popular Siskiu D range which Polygon have been rolling out in Australia and globally for over 4 years now.

The 2017 D5 picks up on where the D6 from last year left off. It comes very similarly spec’d but comes with the upgraded frame which features new internal routing to keep the cables out of the way, as well as smaller finishing details that gives the bike a nice clean and refined look.

The Siskiu D5 frame is a durable yet lightweight Alloy Cross Country frame that has 120 millimetres of suspension travel to absorb any trail inconsistencies to keep you comfortable and in-control. It goes without saying that the D5 features 27.5” wheels, which provide increased performance by blending low weight together with reduced rolling resistance.

A Suntour XCM HLO, fork dampens up the front end of the bike with 120mm of hydraulically damped travel. A Suntour Raidon rear air shock provides the suspension duties out the back – both the front fork and rear shock feature a lock out, this enables you to improve performance whilst climbing or to improve efficiency on the road.

Rapid-fire Shimano Alivio shifting components promise smooth, reliable, and responsive action even in situations of extreme torque such as steep hills. With the 27 Speed Shimano Alivio drivetrain, you get a huge range of gearing for any riding scenario from high speed descents to easily climbing the steepest of hills. The Shimano Alivio rear derailleur is attached to the frame using Shimano's direct mount technology, which is a much more stable and reliable method of attaching a rear derailleur than a typical derailleur hanger.

For stopping power, hydraulic disc brakes have been provided for by Shimano, who are undoubtedly the best name in brakes. The front rotor has been oversized to 180mm in the D5 and together with the Shimano levers and calipers, provide confidence inspired braking in all weather conditions.

A host of Entity alloy components such as handlebars, seatpost and stem, all work together to keep the weight down, the bike powerful, and the handling precise. All of these ride comfortably on a pair of super reliable Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres

Hi! How resistant is this bike? I often mistreat my bikes a lot doing high and weird jumps, and falling a lot also. Will this bike hold up?? Thanks.

Would love one of these bikes. As I have only rode bikes with front suspension do you think this would be easy to get used to and good for a beginner like me to go down tracks with?

Budget bike, the components and parts aren’t the best, and the the front fork should at least be Air and not a coil, You could pick up a fairly new secondhand full suspension with a much better spec for the price of one of these when new. Be a good bike to upgrade but I wouldn’t be confident riding this downhill or cross country
