Introducing Kingdoms - a FREE stand alone campaign game mode coming to Darkest Dungeon II later this year.

This new game mode challenges you to protect and nurture your Kingdom by defending safe havens and purging dangerous environments of insidious threats. Upgrade Inns to bolster defenses, embark on unique quest lines, and fight back against 3 new monster factions - The Coven, Beastmen and Crimson Courtiers.

Please, PLEASE tell me the Beastmen faction is a precursor to the Abomination returning as a Hero. He is my favorite DD1 Hero, and I'd be so crazy jazzed to see him come back. Either way, really excited for this content update!

I was hoping for the return of the crimson court and they delivered. This free update makes me wonder if the 3 new factions will make an appearance in the main part of the game now or only in the dlc

To be honest, I don’t know English at all and I only understood the concept of the update thanks to Google translator and the description under the video. There are a lot of thoughts in my head about what this regime will be like. I think this is a very interesting idea and I can't wait to try it out. I've always loved the concept of protecting and growing your settlement or kingdom, and I want to see how your team implements it. Moreover, in a game like Darkest Dungeon 2, in which I did not expect to see something like that at all. As a fan of your work, I am very pleased to see how your game develops. And while the original Darkest Dungeon will hold a special place in my heart (hell, it was the first game I installed on my new computer, replacing my very old computer, which could only run games released almost twenty years ago), I I love Darkest Dungeon 2. And although I find some decisions controversial, I like the second part. I hope that when this update comes out I will finally be able to buy this game on Steam (it's quite difficult where I live now) to support you. Good luck!
