Personal opinions from experience:
* QSC > JBL. Personally think sound clarity is much better from a 12 speaker than 15. Yes 15 is louder, 12 is more clearer. I’ve heard it from plenty of other people in the business.

* You dont NEED a Facade...

* Numark NS6II over the Pioneer Controller. Numark makes tank controllers for affordable price.

Great video, just 2 things first for a beginner DJ, the DDJ-400. You get full Rekordbox DJ, making the move to another Rekordbox controller will be cheaper. Can buy it used and won't need to get a new license. 2nd try to buy it from a local dealer, once they see your buying all this, they will cut you a deal. The place I go to will take 20 to 40 percent off of my order. One more thing stay away from guitar center. I needed to shorten a wire and the place I go to turned it into 2 wires and I paid next to nothing.

You are absolutly right!!
I would change speaker and maybe controller, but its just about taste
I would get Denon Mc4000 that has sheety play/cue button, but it has a nice 2 Mic inputs with EQ
And speakers, I would go with RCF 715, or EV ELX

Would you choose the DDJ 800 over the SR2?

Great video Barr! I started with technics 1200, than used a numark cd player using cd's. Technology has come along way..

Personally I was in guitar center listening to all the major options, and two year ago I went with a couple mackie 15thumps, I was sorely let down. If I had to do it all over I’d get all EV speakers. Etx for the tops and a big EKX sub, instead of the the sr2 I’d go with the sx3, that extra mic input makes life a lot easier. And I’d add a drive rack.

Hey, Barr what is the main difference between the SRX815p and the PRX 815 besides price? They are both powered speakers if I'm not mistaken?

I completely agree to buy quality gear. My system has lasted 10 years give or take (some gear was bought used as well) apart from a new microphone, upgraded active speakers from passive and 2 new Laptops. As I'm not a scratch DJ nor do i do fast paced sets I use either CDs or MixMeister Pro 6 on a laptop (different depending on the event) and that works fine for me.

Also I recommend if you have the time, it's relatively easy to build your own DJ facade

I think there are some things you can go cheap and get a lot of miles out of. Obviously, that’s not ideal, but if you’re getting started and have to cut corners there are ways to do it. In my experience though, you definitely want to “buy once, cry once, ” with mics and cables. Cheap mics and cables are the first things to go.
