I was deficient in B12 before I went vegan. So it’s not just a vegan thing. A lot of people are low or deficient and don’t realize it!

I was just learning about collagen in my food science course. It’s basically just amino acids and from what I heard it doesn’t really do much. Vitamin C plays a key role in making collagen! Ur meal videos are bae

One of my fav vegan youtubers Lilykoi Hawaii explained a lot about omega 3 in her last video. The kind of omega 3 fatty acid from flax/chia/hemp seeds/walnuts is ALA. And the kind of omega 3 from an algae oil supplement is DHA (and sometimes EPA). 🌿 ALA from food usually gets converted to the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA through our body. But this conversion (by enzymes) can be inhibited when you consume a ratio of too much omega 6 compared to omega 3 (because omega 3 and 6 need the same enzymes to get digested). 😬 She mentioned that when you start taking a DHA supplement, you should be very consistent with that supplement because when your body is used to getting DHA, it will convert a lot less ALA from your diet to DHA and EPA. 😣 So you shouldn't just take DHA supplements for one month and then forget about it or just take one bottle of DHA supplements and not buy a new one when that one is finished!

just a note about he flax seeds....it’s best to buy them whole rather than pre-ground...then grind them before. This saves tons more nutrients and also pre-ground can go rancid pretty quickly.

I started freezing my tofu because my local grocery sometimes doesn't restock tofu, right away, when they run out. I usually buy two packages when they're in stock, and pop them in the freezer. I really love the texture (from frozen) for baked, crispy tofu. I always eat leftover pasta for breakfast, some times cold (cold spaghetti is the Bomb! like cold pizza). I cook my beans from dried, but keep cans of kidney, garbanzo, and cannelinis on hand for "emergencies"/lazy days. I love your videos!!

My mind organics multivitamins are my favorite all vegan and sourced from whole foods. I have the d3 spray as well and there b12 spray. Also take algae based omegas 💚
