Adobe XD First Impressions - New Adobe Experience Design App

First impressions of Adobe XD and why you might want to use it over Sketch. I have never used this app before today, and so these are literally my first moments with it.

Overall I am really impressed with this new Adobe app and think it has a great future ahead of it. What are your thoughts and will you use it over Sketch for UI/UX design?

Hello Alex, I have been following your tutorial from the beginning of the channel and it's been really helpful for me.
I would like to request you that if we do an e-commerce website. Using VueJs as frontend and laravel as backend.
Is it possible??

Surely to mask it would be similar to Illustrator, where you would design/illustrate the mask shape that you want, then put the image underneath > Right Click > Create Clipping Mask. Also, with this drag and drop feature, it would be cool to be able to drop masks straight in from illy and PS. Cant wait to try it out!!

just a heads up, software starts at 14 mins, before that it's basically the guy reading features on the website and saying: "so cool" "so awesome" "very excited" etc

Would love to see support for asset libraries. For example quickly access material design icons on the fly, etc...

why are people comparing this to Sketch? Lets be fully honest here, its decent for laying out comps and doing some very *light* design. No way this is a design tool, having the pen tool there almost makes it hilarious but it might make you think it is. Adobe would never make this a very capable vector application because they think it might overlap with illustrator too much. Adobe seems to be more concerned with overlap than a real tool people can use. You can literally create complex vector drawings in Sketch. Does it happen to be as good as illustrator? No, but its quite close. I've seen some very impressive stuff done in sketch and it seems to be that middle ground that everyone loved with fireworks. Vectors in photoshop are still a pain and will probably never be fixed. Sketch may be the only tool that gives you the "best of both worlds" feeling in a product that you can actually use for production.
