CORRECTIONS: Yes, there are mobile versions of Chu Chu Rocket (GBA), Power Stone 1/2 (PSP) and Soul Calibur (Android, delisted) - I didn't include these because I was focusing on the amazing multiplayer aspect of the games and the mobile/handheld versions are NOT the best ways to play any of these games. I misspoke when I said they weren't available anywhere else, as I was talking about on modern consoles and/or currently available. I cut out about 40% of this video to trim down the overall length and streamline which changed some context. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks for watching.

PowerStone 2 slaps hard! If you are reading this and never played it, do yourself a player and find a way to play it; preferably with friends locally. It an absolute blast!

Here are a couple of hidden gems for you guys:

1- Illbleed: For the survival horror enthusiasts out there. A very bizarre survival horror that takes place on a Horror theme park. It adds a very interesting twist to the survival horror formula.
2- Omikron The Nomad Soul: An open world Cyberpunk game, yes, Quantic Dream did it first!.
3- Evil Twin: If Tim Burton made a video game, this what it probably would have looked like. It is a PAL game so be aware.
4- Wacky Races: Basically Mario Kart with Hanna Barbera characters.
5- MDK2: Bioware made this one, it is a 3rd person shooter in space with very fun characters and story.

Shenmue is one of the best video games I've ever played. It blew me away in the same way that playing Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PS1 for the first time did. They're really the only two games I remember playing where I was floored by how good the game was.

THE standout Dreamcast exclusive for me personally was Project Justice (sequel to the PS1 fighting game Rival Schools). It came out after the Sega announced DC was to be discontinued so maybe a low production rate is why the game holds such high resale price. I treasure that damn game and all its quirkiness.

Great video! I first got mine in the year 2000. I was 15 years old and I wanted the PS2 so bad but you couldn’t get your hands on one so I told my mom she could get me a Dreamcast instead and that was one of the best decisions I’ve made, I still have mine to this day. I must’ve played sonic adventure for hours and hours. Then when Shenmue came out, that pretty much blew my mind.

Thanks for showing some love to Dreamcast. I picked one up a few years ago, and absolutely love the thing. That opening screen gave me goosebumps the first time I booted it up.
I think the thing could have had a much longer life cycle if they just came out with a new controller that added a second analog stick and bumpers to go along with the triggers.

I say this on every video I stumble on talking about the Dreamcast.... My favourite console of all time and Phantasy Star Online being my favourite game of all time.

I still think the jump from Playstation to the Dreamcast was the biggest jump In graphics.
When I seen the demos running on a monitor at EB games it blue my mind.

I bought the Dreamcast for Soulcalibur. I loved playing it so much at Chuck E. Cheese, that I just had to have it at home.

Some other people have mentioned Grandia II. My all time favorite game of Dreamcast!
Unfortunately I played Grandia II first, so trying to play Skies of Arcadia was a bit of a slog after that. I only got so far into the game after being frustrated by the constant random encounter and lackluster battle system.

Grandia II you could sneak around monsters, and how you entered combat mattered. If you ran into the monster, you would get an advantage, if they ran into you, they got the advantage.

Yes, Grandia II has been ported many times, and I have quite a few of the ports. The first PC port was okay, but had many graphical glitches, especially in the video integration. The PS2 port was aweful! I've seen many complaints about the ports to the newer consoles. The new PC port is actually really good. There were some early problems, which I didn't encounter, which I think have all been patched.

I ended up picking up Grandia for Playstation off of ebay after enjoying the second one soo much. Grandia II is more consistantly good, but I think I enjoyed Grandia more, even if the game starts off a little weak.

Unfortunately Grandia III came out in North America for the PS2 about the same time as the PS3 was launching. I think it was MotorStorm I got really sucked into and just never got back to Grandia III.

Awesome! I didn't know Revolt was on Dreamcast... I played the heck out of that game on PC back in the day... so much fun. I'm going to have to checkout a few of these that I haven't seen before.

I was playing one of the Virtua Tennis games every once in a while in an arcade I used to visit in Tokyo. Amazing series!

Some fps games like Quake 3 arena did support mouse & keyboard. The controller not being dual analogue is the only thing i hate about the dreamcast. Just like Goldeneye on the N64, great game but it puts me of playing it today. I read a thing about putting 2 controllers on the N64 that unlocks dual analogue but i haven't tried it yet.

I bought my Dreamcast in '98, strictly for Marvel vs Capcom. Still playing it today!

I learned the hard way that light guns only work with CRTs. I bought House of the Dead 2 and a light gun for the fourth time but now I only have an LED TV. I hear CRTs are going for insane money now because of all the retro gamers.
