DJI Ban Kills Jobs

Talked with my Representative for over an hour today. Really good info was given and he also gave me some solid hope on amending the bill. He mentioned you Russ and gave me some guidance on how we can gain more traction on getting this bill amended.

Now it's the Senators we gotta try to get ahold of since it's going to the Senate. We are all a big drone family. Hey Russ, received an email from only one of 2 senators here in Arkansas, it really didn’t address any of the issues I stated in my email, only that the president Xi Jinping of China said that he wanted to rise to new heights and global dominance, and about national security.
It’s frustrating that was all that was said.

What about all the other devices we use here in the U.S, phones, Amazon echo dots, TVs you name it, all made in China! Which just proves that there’s an issues with just DJI and that we as American have just sat around instead of manufacturing a U.S. drone, instead we will just shut them down and that will be the fix!
I probably have 30K in drones and equipment since I got into this hobby in 2015.
You know not to mention all the stuff we just dealt with on the RID and complying to that.

I honestly think this is such a big mistake and could be handled a lot better.

Public safety departments rely on this technology and it will be much more dangerous for both citizens and departments if DJI is banned. For example I have seen the DJI Avata used to clear whole buildings before going in so police officers don’t get shot.

Great alert but, ... you said like 5 people are trying to pass this bill. If you had a vote the dji user's would win the vote. You said there were 260, 000 flyers/users. The business owners need to fight back.

So I have over 10k in drone equipment. All DJI. Mavic 3 cine, mavic 3 pro, mini 4 pro, avata 2, and a neo. All will get trashed and I am out that money. Now what can the American economy offer for replacements? Guess I’m gonna start pouring concrete again?

Man it sucks Iam completely new to this hobby and just received my new dji air3s and upon reading, i cant take off in nyc. Only in designated fields in queens brooklyn, staten island and bronx. I did register the drone and take the test. So, I cant even hover over my own house😢. I live right at the edge of the airport no fly zone. If I walk 100 ft. Drone is locked and remote says restricted. Ughhhh
