I'm finally building one of my dream projects: an Arduino-powered MIDI controller created in the image of a DJ Tech Tools MIDI Fighter. I'm using mini LED arcade buttons along with a Sparkfun Pro Micro as the main hardware for the build.

In Part 2, you'll see a time lapse of the build process, proof that it's working and some final thoughts.

You've made amazing controller. I decided to make my own one few monthes ago based on Leandro Linares project, but when I started to search about Arcade buttons with LED, I've found your videos and it was actually what I need. Thanks a lot for your work, it helps me a lot to finally start making my own midi-controller. Wow!

I’m definitely tardy to the party but the configurations of colors is so satisfying. Angled white square one way, angled yellow the other, diagonal reds and blues, yes!

I Love how in the hackster.io you wrote, "this is my humble attempt at making a midi fighter". All my components almost go to the trash can until I found your videos. Huge.. huge thanks!

Dayghhhh!! Shouldn't the colors of those buttons obviously be the colors of Sailor Moon's outfit, with her hair? I just had to make the observation because you're standing right in front of a Sailor Moon bobblehead. I love the comment, "it takes a while for your skills to catch up to your ideas"! That is a golden comment. Very inspirational, Thank You!

Great video you’ve helped a lot with my build I’ve just started. One question, did you have to code the LEDs? My design has LEDs in the housing that will light an acrylic strip, I want the LEDs on all the time and go off when one of the 16 buttons are pressed. Any help would be much appreciated, I have no idea about coding.

Hi, love your videos. Question: why did you run all of the common wires back to the board instead of wiring them to each other with one lead running back to the board?

Eu tería colocado os botões mais próximos uns dos outros. Bom projeto, parabéns! Aonde posso encontrar os botões para esse seu projeto? Que botões são esses?

Could it have been programmed for hit on-hit instead of on-release, like in electronic drum kits?

Nice controller! I'd much rather hear you talking instead of having to listen to whatever that was the whole video
