The best thing I did was find a good church.. The support was overwhelming. When you are the only international teacher you need support. Be open to make friends yes you can find some great American friends, black or white.

Go to community events and get to know them. Find a friend before you need a friend. These friend can be great assets.

My biggest hurdle, 8s incorporating ICT in learning, av not been in a position to use projectors, laptops and pads in a classroom setup, kindly advice on what i should do, Av applied as a teacher of Englishin north carolina but i feel that thats my biggest challenge.
