They rushed the story. Who makes out 30 seconds after meeting a person? I did watch the movie a couple of times because of Keith Powers 😊

It’s a shame because the book is amazing and includes EVERYTHING you note was lacking. I kept holding my breath waiting for the tension build up, and risks to happen that are in Tia Williams book, but they never show up. The big conflict and many of the plot points had holes in them. I’m sad because it was most certainly rushed.

Facts, honestly I’ve seen YouTube couple channels better than this movie 😂 If Gina Prince-Bythewood or Rick Famuyiwa don’t direct it… I barely want it. Bring back those good ole black romcoms ❤

exactly my thoughts as well. i thought it would be good. i played it 2x speed so i could the finish the movie. the movie was way horrible than i expected!

I agree, I couldn't finish the movie because of those factors. The premise indicates potential, but the movie lacked substance.
