PROPERTY TAXES: Does Your Purchase Price = Your Assessed Value?
Показать описание
When November rolls around we get asked this question a lot, and with trim notices going to Lee County residents I know this is a question you may have now: Will my purchase price match the assessed value on my taxes?
The answer in short is no, the price you paid for your home is not the same as the assessed value they use to determine your tax amount.
The property appraiser’s office uses their own formula to determine your assessed value and it takes into account the property values of all the homes in your area and other criteria.
Don’t forget to check out LEPA.org for more information on your tax bill!
