From Kuma's backstory, to the reveal of the Gorosei, and the dynamics between Kizaru and Sakazuki, the entire Arc was awesome, I loved it.

Egghead arc was what i need after wano

- not too long
- focuses on mostly already existing characters to give em more depth
- fast paced and enjoyable on a chapter by chapter basis

My only issues would be the semi underwhelming performance of the gorosei warcury and nusjuro carried the squad hard, and I feel like vegapunks message lasted 3-4 chapters more than it should’ve, also I wanted more of a focus on the crew, those aren’t gigantic issues but it hindered egghead from being perfect

But to me it’s a strong contender for best post time skip arc with whole cake and dress Rosa in my opinion
The themes the lore the symbolism the characters, egghead made me wait for that one piece chapter like I used to instead of waiting for the end of an arc to binge read, it’s a well packed arc and it was almost excellent on a weekly basis

I’m hyped for elbaf but I’m afraid it’s gonna be good but too filled with characters like wano and dressrosa

Oh man, it's been a long time since I checked your vidos and I also missed you and I agreed that this arc is the culmination of the post-two years of the peak💙💜

I love how egghead starts right after one of the darkest moments in the entire series, we thought it would be a fun side adventure and then it slowly transitions into that same dark atmosphere with luffy and the strawhats acting as the sole light.

I always viewed the series as having two separate storylines, Luffy's story and One Piece's story, where the latter is a lot darker and grim, Luffy's story is mostly fun. this arc most likely serves as the two stories merging into each other

Egghead island arc is definitely top 2 arc post time skip

It's actually my favorite arc in the series. I absolutely loved the futuristic take on an island, it felt like I was in a futurama episode mixed with a video game but spun and woven into the one piece world.

I also should note that tech "societies" in fantasy worlds are just my favorite, in the chinese series scissor seven there's the Stan kingdom of technology and they also had a trippy einstein like logo, this type of stuff is just goated lmao. Always fun to see lightsabers, mechs/giant robots, and super advanced sci-fi tech.

Unsolved Mystery should go to - "What did Jimbey pick up for Vegapunk?"

People complaining about Egghead not being Franky's arc and Wano being Zoro's weren't paying attention.

The only ones pushing that narrative were _fans._ There was nothing in the story that pointed to Wano being about Zoro or Egghead being about Franky.

Usopp and Elbaf have been tied together since Little Garden. Repeatedly.

It's not the same.

Because of Anime pacing, Wano is an awesome arc with so much lore, hate to see it getting hate because of pacing

isn't this what we say every time an arc is done? Dressrosa was the best arc, then Zou, WCI, Wano, and now Egghead.

Guys, here‘s an idea why the Gorosei are "invincible". Takes a while but it’s worth it: First we have to ask, what hurts Prometheus (Big Moms flame)? Luffy couldn’t hurt him with Haki and Zoro‘s fire cutting technique was only temporary. The only thing that worked were Brooks soul powers. Because Prometheus is not a real person but a soul being created (by Big Mom). The same thing could be with the Gorosei being souls created by Imu (that‘s why the Gorosei refer to Imu as the creator and that‘s why Oda introduced us to multiple Vegapunks in the same arc). That’s why they also didn’t know everything about the Nika fruit, because they weren’t created by Imu at that time of Joyboy/Nika. And they need this magic circle to switch to their demon form from the underworld. Probably Brooks and Venusjuros icepowers are the same. We also saw it in movie Red, where Shanks and Luffy had to defeat this monster by attacking it from both worlds. And souls never die in One Piece, eg during the death of a devil fruit user the soul of the fruit just wanders to a new fruit, so that would also explain why they don’t age, because their body is just a vessel for their soul.

We could also extend this theme to Imu being the ruler of the underworld (devil / satan), explaining why we saw the giant strawhat frozen (chill of the underworld), Imu having a devil‘s tail and Imu being earth in this planetary theme of Jupiter, Venus, Sun and so on, since satan is also seen as ruler of earth in Christian beliefs. If Luffy is the Sun God, then obviously the natural enemy is the real devil, who can cast / rule over demons (Gorosei) in Christianity. That‘s why Sabo also said there is hell on top of the earth. Sounds ironic that it‘s called devil fruits then, but what if it wasn’t called like this in the first place? These fruits as manifestations of peoples dreams sound like something good and maybe they were created by Nika as a gift, from god to humans. But the devil is known to trick/fool people so he named them devil fruits to label them as something bad (remember Doflamingo said that good&bad is just determined by the ones in power). That‘s also the reason why Imu wants to flood the whole world, so he can remove all devil fruit users because they are leftovers/reminders from his natural enemy, Nika. Furthermore, the Devil is also depicted as a dragon giving a scepter to the beast of the sea on the wikipedia page from Devil in Christianity. So devil and sea somehow belong together (check out Leviathan on wikipedia, there is so much stuff that fits, e.g. Leviathan symbolizing red line, which Brogy and Dorry can’t destroy). This would also explain why devil fruit users can’t swim because it is said that it enrages the sea, also fitting again to the theme of Imu representing Earth as the blue planet.

You don’t need to take it too serious and it still doesn’t answer all the questions, eg why did Joyboys conquerors Haki push them out of their form although Kumas or Luffys Haki attack didn’t do anything and why could Saturn summon the rest of the Gorosei? But nonetheless, maybe Oda got inspired from all of this.

mentioning "who else could be a clone" made me consider teach or shanks being a clone.
teach a clone of xebec
and shanks a clone of the unknown character looking for the one piece/possibly the shanks? that met the gorosei.

since the kuma clones and seraphim exist there are alot of clones in the story.

even caribou might be a clone created by Prince Grus. whose devil fruit is oddly similar to caribous existence.
and would explain various odd details about caribou though-out the story.

Nice Egghead wrap-up video. My favorite part was the little Luffy and Zoro just chilling together in the background 🤲 🤧
