For those wondering if this is canon it is. Pixar after the failure of Cars 3 at the box office and among fans came out and stated that the third installment takes place in an alternate universe where Doc never got to drive in NASCAR. They are going to expand on Docs origin in a new spinoff movie. Please thoughts and prayers… hopefully this next one is good 🙏🙏🙏

Actually, this is completely wrong. The whole reason doc stopped racing was because shortly after his wreck they basically told him that he was being replaced and that his racing days were behind him. Also let's point out the fact you said the so called wreck from le mans happened in 1947,


Doc wasn't a thing or a twinkle in the eyes of creation until 1951, the year he was manufactured. (1951 Hudson hornet)
