5:45 is honestly the key thing, people should focus on. Honestly, this video greatly sums up some of the problems I've had myself. Shorts are the fastest way to gain subscribers and views but they won't always stick around.

Only halfway thru and already agreed all facts . I spent from 2013-2019 figuring out all the basics including 365 (cringey) vlogs in a row . Spent the next few years mastering my voice in short form gaining an audience and now I’m beginning to re-roll out new long form with what I’ve learned over the past decade . My take: Youtube Shorts are really good for Youtube, because it brings them insanely high viewing numbers. I agree with you though, that it's bad for Youtubers, because you don't stick with them. The most successful shorts also tend to be taken from other channels - everything blowing up on Shorts, are typically quotes from movie stars from big Late Night shows and copyright AI will catch them sooner or later :O)

While I mostly agree, there are definitely content creators such as Sambucha and Letskwook that have very strong and loyal communities by leveraging their personalities through shorts. Some people don’t have the charisma for that but I think it’s still something to think about.

First 5 Seconds should Set what's at Stake for the whole video

Take Advantage of Youtube Analytics, Look out for consistent dips and omit whatever is causing those dips from future videos
Zeigarnik Effect - Intentionally cutting things in a way that it creates tension for the audience from creating a momentary pause from whatever is being told
