I did the same thing but used a tarp tacked to the roof with some strapping ...worked awesome .
..rite into the dump trailer and they were 50 square roofs and there was 30 of them finished 4 days ahead of schedule pretty good considering we were a 5 man crew at the time so we all stripped it then 2 did clean up till done ....then went up and nailed

You supposed to rolled it with the paper and over shoulder to the dump rookies

Use a wheel barrel and park the trailer on the side. Dump straight into the trailer. This idea is good if you can't park a trailer where you dump straight down. You need a one wheel wheel Barrel so you can tip it side ways. Two wheels means a front dump and well that's awkward.

We would roll that stuff up in the paper when it was warm enough and throw the rolls into the dump box
