Here's one that's even better hover over and select all channels that you want to link and write. click and press A to assign. to a playlist track. as well. So when you create automation clips it's organized underneath. the playlist track.

Even better is to drag samples and and plugins onto the left end playlist tracks, they get routed automatically and also automations of the plugin or assigned mixer track get grouped with that playlist track automatically
