They don't allow tips there, they start every employee at 30 bucks an hour, Matt and Trey are national treasures

I really do admire that their passionate memories of their favorite restaurant drove them to actually save it. I've been a huge fan of South Park ever since the first aired in the 90's and I still am to this day. When I heard that they bought the restaurant I had a feeling that it was for love and not for a joke. Whenever it's done I'll be more than happy to travel out west to come visit.

Imagine the entitlement of the people complaining about $30/hr with no tips.

Matt and Trey were the only human’s that successfully communicated to the Merkel’s how they were actually being perceived. And they changed their marketing, thank god.

Anyone from Colorado knows how big of a deal it is that they finally have a real chef running a real kitchen, as opposed to a GM running a cafeteria line. It'll be odd to finally be able to say I "enjoyed" Casa Bonita's food because "crap food" became one of their staples.

I love that they are saving this restaurant and cultural landmark. And I absolutely love that there really are cliff divers!

I think it’s important to tell the next generations about Matt and Trey. Our parents tried to get rid of them and South Park in the late 90’s and failed. Matt and Trey went on to win Emmys, Tony’s, and the hearts of their viewers.

"They will need six million customers a night to break even..." I love that this passion project means so much to Mat and Trey, and everybody who grew up going to Casa Bonita. I went for the first time in 1979 or 1980, and it was magical. I still have the black & white old-timey photo behind the rubber jail bars.

The fact that this is both a gag and NOT a gag is the most impressive thing about this whole affair.

Matt and Trey are genuinely amazing, i may have never been to Colorado but i am a big fan of South Park, their other work and am grateful for them saving a historic landmark!

I only know of Casa Bonita through its appearance in South Park episodes, and the video game DLC. But I was shocked when I found out it was actually a real place - and saddened to hear that it closed. Having them reopen it is probably the best thing that could’ve possibly happened, It’s very clear they truly have love for this place. If I ever get the chance to see Colorado I absolutely MUST visit Casa Bonita!
