Hi James. I've just found my dads old AF35M (1979) in a dusty old box in the basement - dusted it off, put a couple of fresh AA batteries in it and it works just like new. Unfortunately the flash module doesn't pop-up anymore. Given it to my 16yr old daughter to play with and she's totally thrilled - she's no longer interested in digital photography - apparently film photography is so much cooler now. Going to get some 35mm Lomography film for her for some cool shots.

Love the Hyde Park shots. I know one of your sisters from our uni days. I figured the aren't many van der mozels in Perth! Keep up the good work

Well done video! I'm "scanning" negatives now too. Check out the Nikon ES-2 and a stepping ring to fit the front of your macro lens. Or add a extension tube so a normal lens can focus closely enough. Works great!

As you say, the post-processing is what takes time. But you get the hang of it and it goes faster.

I just found this camera at a local thrift for $3. I had to clean out some corrosion from the old batteries that had been left inside but it’s working like new now. Only issue I had was that I found it really difficult to load the film and get it to catch. It didn’t want to lay flat behind the door. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue.

Hey James. Sorry, but you're wrong. Konica was the #1 AF Camera, into 1977 - the model was the Konica C35 AF. The Canon AF35M came 2 years later, into 1979.

why did you make the video vertically? because of that the sceen size is 4 x smaller - and instead of you I watch the empty background. Use your brain next time
